By train

Your destination station is Aime-La Plagne in the Tarentaise valley. The bus station is right next to it.

From London

The Eurostar Snow serves Aime-La Plagne on Saturdays during the 2026-27 season, from London St Pancras with a change at Lille. The journey takes most of the day, and arrival in the late afternoon fits our 5 pm check-in. Check dates and times on Eurostar. Alternatively, take the Eurostar to Paris and continue by TGV.

From Brussels and the Netherlands

Eurostar Snow is also sold from Brussels, Antwerp, Rotterdam and Amsterdam, with dates that differ from the London service: check when booking on B-Europe.

From Paris

Allow about 4 h 40 to 5 h 15 from Paris Gare de Lyon, usually changing at Lyon or Chambéry. Extra direct trains to the Tarentaise are often added in winter, especially at weekends; the 2026-27 timetables are not all published yet, so check SNCF Connect and OUIGO.

From the station to Belle Plagne

  • Bus: line S71 links Aime station with the high-altitude villages of La Plagne, including Belle Plagne. Book online with Altibus.
  • Taxi: several taxis do the transfer; the list is on the tourist office website. Book ahead for a Saturday.

By plane

  • Geneva: 149 km away. The AlpskiBus links the airport with Aime station, where you continue by bus or taxi; allow 3.5 to 4 hours in total.
  • Lyon Saint-Exupéry: the LYS'Express bus stops directly in Belle Plagne, in about 3.5 to 4 hours.
  • Chambéry-Savoie: the closest airport, served by private transfers.

Airport bus times and booking on Altibus.

By car

Head for Albertville on the A43 then the A430. Follow the N90 towards Bourg-Saint-Maurice as far as Aime, then the D220 up to La Plagne and Belle Plagne, at 2,050 m. Driving distances to La Plagne: Paris 645 km, Lyon 196 km, Geneva 149 km.

The tourist office advises switching off your sat nav from Albertville: some suggested routes use roads that are closed in winter. Follow the "La Plagne" signs.

Winter tyres or chains: compulsory

From 1 November 2026 to 31 March 2027, France's "loi Montagne" applies in signposted mountain areas, including La Plagne. Your car must have either:

  • four winter tyres with the 3PMSF marking (three-peak mountain and snowflake symbol); or
  • snow chains or snow socks in the boot, for at least two drive wheels.

Renting a car? Check its winter equipment when you book.

Avoiding Saturday traffic

On school-holiday Saturdays, the N90 between Albertville and Bourg-Saint-Maurice is often jammed from late morning to mid-afternoon. Leave early, or aim to arrive late afternoon, which suits our 5 pm check-in. See our school holiday calendar to spot the busiest weekends.

Parking

Belle Plagne is car-free: vehicles stay in underground car parks. At Cocon Alpin, a space in the residence's covered car park is included in your stay. Mind the 1.90 m height limit for roof boxes and vans.

Electric cars: the nearest charging point is in Plagne Bellecôte.

Once you are here

Everything is on foot: the slopes are 20 m from the residence, and lift passes are sold at the foot of the residence. A gondola links Belle Plagne with Plagne Bellecôte, and free shuttles serve the other parts of the resort.
